Parents: Assumptions

I’m starting to get tired of these “Assumptions” that have just been showing up alot recently

Here are my recent top 3:
1) Christmas Day: There is a shrub by my garage door, that sometimes blocks it. At this point it wasn’t. My dad goes over, trims it up. I walk by and he goes “*scoff sound* You’re welcome”. I turn and look at it. The pruning shears, and all the trimmed crap is in FRONT of my garage door.

I’ll say it again. Before: Not Blocking. After: Blocking. So yeah…I can’t park my truck in the garage.

2) 2 days ago: I’m at Walmart. I get a call, my mom is at Genie and needs my gas card. Ok. So I start driving toward the other side of town, calling her on the way. No answer. I get one block away and she calls.

“I’m almost there..I’m at Sangar ave.”
“Huh? I’m not at Genie Carwash”
“You said Genie”
“I meant Genie at Bellmead, the power washer”

I don’t remember much due to anger. She apologized for this :-)

3) Combination of Christmas Eve Eve and Today. I’m being told to wash my truck on Thur. Fine. I spend all afternoon with my brother working on it.
Friday: “Go get a trailer”
“…ok…”
I get a trailer, and we start filling it up of grass clipings and other things I mow that day. My nice clean truck is still attached…so now its dusty. It gets parked in the hay barn with it until last Wed. Still dusty.
So when I use it…the crap is still in front of the garage so I park it out front.
Today it rains. Perfect. Now the rain can get that dust off.

Wrong

I’m out in the barn and my mom drives it around on the muddy gravel……
“WHY?!”
“I thought since you parked it out, it was dirty, because mine is clean”
*SCREAMS IN THE MIND*
“Well it most certainly is now”

Yeah…I’m mad.
I’m removing my keys from my truck now.

Zone of the Enders

It can kick ass sometimes, here’s an old clip.

Services Are Saturday For Veteran Central Texas Educator

From KWTX.com:

(December 22, 2006)—Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church for former Waco High School principal and longtime Waco educator Molly Maloy.

Maloy died Thursday at her home in Waco.

She was 60.

Maloy was a Waco native who earned a bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and a master’s degree from Baylor University.

She went to work as a teacher in the Waco ISD in 1974.

In 1983 she was named principal of the district’s Alternative School.

She also served as principal of the Carver Sixth Grade School and Waco High School from 2000 until she retired from the district and took a job as principal of Reicher Catholic High School.

She is survived by two daughters, Amanda Bradley of Austin and Stacey Abraham of Jackson, Miss. and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Reicher Catholic High School or the WISD Education Foundation.

I knew she had been fighting cancer, and she was going to resign as principal of Reicher, but I didn’t think she’d pass on like this…right before Christmas

My prayers go out to the family.

Midnight

Well I was about to bitch about not having my grades in yet, BUT THEY ACTUALLY ARE IN!

(A) Digital Fundamentals
(A) Comp Sys Maintanence
(C) Intro to Humanities
(A) General Psychology

Three A’s and a C. I honestly am surprised about the C. I hated that class…I really did.

I got to get some pictures on facebook soon, but I cannot find my camera charger and memory sticks anywhere. Oh well. After In Living Color is done, I’ll head to for bed.

Finals Done

I finished up all my school work as of 1:00 pm. I turned in my final project report, shook my teacher’s hand and wished him a Merry Christmas.

Class schedule is set for the spring, still waiting on final grades from my classes.

In other news, um..I dunno. I’ve been merging homemade DVDs of our family trip to Las Vegas. Can someone explain to me…why copy protection protocols are on my DVDs? If I were to copy these DVDs, which I own, I would be violating the DMCA, for getting around copy protections. Well they can kiss my ass.

So yeah…plans for the holidays…
None.
Sleep, eat, code, TV, chores. All I can think of unless someone has an idea of something.
